Celebrity Love Awards

With only six weeks left in this year, our annual Celebrity Love Awards will soon be coming to an end. We wanted to take a moment to encourage you to write to your favorite celebrities while there is still time. When the clock strikes Midnight on New Year’s Eve, the contest will end, and the top one hundred celebrities on our website will be the winners. They’ll receive every letter that has been written to them throughout the year on a custom CD!

Not only will we make sure they receive it, but we’re giving them the ability to write back to anyone they choose. At PopStar.com, we do our best to honor the celebrities we love so much and we hope that you will continue to support them there. Many of the celebrities currently on the list (especially the bottom 50) do not have many letters written to them. Please remember you can write to as many celebrities as you want. Spread the love around and let them know you care.

We have tens of thousands of celebrities in our database; you can type in any celebrity name you want into our search box and if they are in our database, it will take you to their page where you can write to them. Let’s make this a great year for our favorite stars.

Zac Buys Vanessa $50K Louis Vuitton Steamer Trunk

Zac Efron has reportedly bought girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens a $50,000 housewarming gift for her new $3 million home. An insider tells Star magazine that the High School Musical star bought a Louis Vuitton steamer trunk for Hudgens because she “loves” the designer brand.

“Vanessa loves Louis Vuitton, but she wouldn’t spend the money for it. To her, it is a piece of art,” says a source.

Hudgens, 19, and Efron, 21, began dating in 2006 after meeting on the set of High School Musical. The couple recently premiered the third and final installment of the HSM series.

Zac Efron Reveals Love For Surfing

Disney sensation, Zac Efron, addressed his love for surfing in an interview while promoting “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” in Melbourne, Australia. “I love to surf every chance I get,” he admitted, adding “Oh man, I would love to go surfing with Kelly Slater at Bells Beach.”

Considering the fact that he’s a huge fan of the sport, Zac even considers changing his major to marine biology so that he can be “in the ocean all the time.” He, in fact, deferred his place at the University of Southern California to star in “HSM” when it was first debuted two years ago.

Zac: The Making Of A Star

Many of us can relate to the kind of life Zac Efron had growing up. Geeky, misunderstood, and not so good with the opposite sex. Now, that same shy school kid is one of the biggest sex symbols on earth. While many kids were playing sports, going to the malls, or playing video games, Zac was doing other things.

“I don’t remember Zac being popular at all,” Joyce Hartwig, a secretary at Arroyo Grande High School, told a British newspaper. “He wasn’t exactly the school heart-throb, he didn’t really mingle with the other students because he was always at the theatre and you never saw him with girls. And he had individual tutoring, so he wasn’t part of many lessons here either. He certainly wasn’t viewed as anything special just because he wanted to be an actor.”

His parents first discovered his talent while on a two-week road trip, during which the 11-year-old spent most of his time singing. Two weeks after that his parents took him to auditions for a local production of the musical Gypsy. Without any acting or musical training he got the part.

Soon after a drama teacher suggested that Zac audition for TV, and at 17 he was cast in the Disney hit High School Musical. The film made close to a billion dollars, making Zac a star. Fortunately, according to his parents, his success has not affected his attitude.

“Zac was raised very grounded. He was busy here in town doing plays and all that,” said his mother Starla Baskett. “He’s had the same friends all his life, and he didn’t really get into the Hollywood scene. Thank heaven for that. He’s still Zac. That’s from growing up here.”
